VE Day 75th Anniversary

When VE Day dawns on 8th May 2020 it will be 75 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. Years of carnage and destruction had come to an end and millions of people took to the streets to celebrate peace, mourn their loved – ones and to hope for the future, but not forgetting those still in conflict. Join us online at 2.50pm when there will be a short act of remembrance; including a two-minute silence, a bugler, a piper, a virtual wreath laying and a toast from the Town Crier to commemorate the event. The celebration will come later in the year. Afterwards the event will also be accessible on the Tring Team Parish website. The VE Day commemoration is organised by St Peter & St Paul Church, Tring Together and Tring Town Council.
